Methodology (simplified LCA): Baseline crop emissions from JRC EU Reference LCA Database & IPCC AR6. N-fertilisation: 5.7 kg CO₂eq / kg N (Haber-Bosch manufacturing + soil N₂O, IPCC Tier 1). Pesticides: low 4 / medium 12 / high 22 kg CO₂eq / t (ecoinvent 3.8). Transport emission factors: truck 0.062, rail 0.022, ocean freight 0.008, air cargo 0.95 kg CO₂eq / t·km. Processing: soy meal 180 / oil 260 / tofu or isolate 420 kg CO₂eq / t. Storage: 0.15 kg CO₂eq / t·day (ambient; refrigerated facilities higher). Deforestation: low ≈ 400, high ≈ 2,400 kg CO₂eq / t (20-year amortisation, IPCC Tier 1 — Cerrado & Gran Chaco biome data). This tool is educational and for illustration only. Results should not replace certified LCA or Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) assessments.
